Specialized Care for Infants, Children & Newborns

Paediatricians are medical doctors who specialize in the health and development of infants, children, and adolescents. Neonatologists are pediatricians with advanced training in caring for newborns, especially premature babies or those with complex medical needs. Together, they ensure every child receives the best possible care—from birth through adolescence.

Paediatric Care – From Infancy to Adolescence

Paediatricians provide comprehensive medical care that supports your child’s physical, emotional, and developmental well-being. Services include:

    • Newborn and well-baby check-ups

    • Growth and developmental assessments

    • Vaccinations and immunizations

    • Treatment of common childhood illnesses (fever, cough, infections)

    • Management of allergies, asthma, and skin conditions

    • Nutritional and behavioral guidance

With a focus on preventive care, paediatricians help detect issues early and support healthy growth at every stage.

Neonatal Care – Specialized Support for Newborns

Neonatologists manage the unique health challenges faced by newborns, especially those who are:

    • Premature (born before 37 weeks)

    • Low birth weight

    • Born with congenital conditions or birth defects

    • Experiencing breathing difficulties, infections, or jaundice

    • In need of neonatal intensive care (NICU)

These specialists provide life-saving support using advanced technology and expert monitoring in hospital settings such as NICUs.

    Chronic & Complex Condition Management

Both paediatricians and neonatologists play a vital role in managing long-term or complex conditions in children, including:

    • Congenital heart or lung conditions

    • Epilepsy or developmental delays

    • Pediatric diabetes and endocrine disorders

    • Gastrointestinal and nutritional issues

    • Genetic or metabolic disorders

They coordinate care with pediatric subspecialists to ensure holistic, continuous support.

    Developmental & Behavioral Support

Beyond physical health, pediatric care also includes guidance and evaluation for:

    • Speech and language delays

    • Autism spectrum disorders

    • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

    • Learning difficulties

    • Emotional or social challenges

Early identification and intervention are key to helping children thrive.
