Fever is a symptom, not a disease—and we aim to identify and treat its underlying cause, whether it’s infection, inflammation, or another condition. Our evaluation includes a physical exam, lab testing if needed, and prompt treatment to bring down fever and address root causes.

    Most fevers result from:

    • Viral or bacterial infections

    • Inflammatory conditions

    • Heat exhaustion or immunizations

    Seek medical attention if:

    • Fever is over 102°F (39°C)

    • Lasts more than 3 days

    • Accompanied by rash, confusion, breathing issues, or stiff neck

    • Antipyretics (like paracetamol or ibuprofen)

    • Fluids and rest

    • Antibiotics if a bacterial infection is diagnosed

Mild fevers often respond well to home care. Persistent or high-grade fevers should be evaluated by a doctor.
